Over 80 senior level decision makers from UK and Estonia gathered on the 30th of October in Level 39, London to participate at the Disruptive Technology in Financial Services Conference hosted by FinanceEstonia and UK Trade & Investment.
The conference was designed to discuss what’s been done and what’s possible in disruptive Financial Technology (FinTech), to showcase innovative products, services and business models, and to look ahead to the future.
Roger Gifford, the Lord Mayor of London, opened the conference, and the presenters were top level industry visionaries and disruptors from both Estonia and the UK. The inspiration for this event came from Roger Gifford’s visit to Estonia in April 2013, where he was impressed strongly by the innovation being delivered by Estonian FinTech companies.
There were insider presentations and expert panel discussions both on consumer needs and on industry developments in the FinTech sector, with the aim to align what customers want with what can be provided both by industry newcomers and by evolution in the financial service sector as a whole.
