Aare Tammemäe, partner of Redgate Capital AS, was appointed as the new Head of the Board of FinanceEstonia as of May 2013. Former Head of the Board, Priit Põldoja held the position two years since the launch of the organization.
Considerating FinanceEstonia’s organizational set-up of private public initiative combining 50 members, the change in the leadership provides an outstanding opportunity to bring in variety, fresh ideas and views from diverse sector representatives. Priit Põldoja will continue as the member of the Board.
During the initial two years under Priit Põldojas leadership FinanceEstonia set good grounds for further development and defined Estonian financial sector opportunities for international growth. Among many activities, under Priit Põldoja’s leadership FinanceEstonia:
- increased Estonia’s visibility and awareness on the international arena,
- presented to the government 14 proposals on how to develop Estonian capital markets,
- provided fact based input to regulators for the development of new fund industry regulation,
- launched new Master’s program MBA Finance and Economic Analysis in collaboration with Tallinn University of Technology.
