The new board of FinanceEstonia confirms its upcoming objectives

Acting as the foremost representative organisation for the financial sector remains the primary goal of FinanceEstonia. We aim to offer added opportunities to our members as well as support the development of the economy by making the sector more international, enabling innovation, and improving access to capital.

Acting as the foremost representative organisation for the financial sector remains the primary goal of FinanceEstonia. We aim to offer added opportunities to our members as well as support the development of the economy by making the sector more international, enabling innovation, and improving access to capital. Our specific areas of focus are the development of the financial market and the export of financial services.

The main goal for the development of the financial market is to ensure growth and balanced development, and increase financial depth to subsidize the further growth of Estonian companies. In order to achieve these goals, the list of board members serving until 20 June 2017 was approved at the general meeting of FinanceEstonia. There are four new additions to the board:

Kaido Saar, Chairman of the Management Board of BIGBANK AS.
Kaido’s professional career is notable, having started at BIGBANK AS in 2002 in the position of a Loan Specialist. After gaining experience in the position for two years, he went on to become the Branches Manager at the same company. This was followed by positions as Head of Marketing and Sales, and Member of the Management Board of BIGBANK. He has been the Chairman of the Management Board of BIGBANK AS since 2013.

 

Lehar Kütt, CEO of KredEx
Lehar Kütt is in charge of KredEx. During the period 2008-2015, Lehar headed the Enterprise Division of KredEx, where he was responsible for the provision and development of solutions related to financing enterprises. During the period 2002-2008, he ran the Pärnu County Business and Development Centre, participating in the creation of an environment favourable for entrepreneurship and in developing the business plans of undertakings.

 

 

Taavi Aas, Deputy Mayor of the Tallinn City Government
For the past 10 years, Taavi Aas has been serving as a deputy mayor of Tallinn, responsible for city planning and public transport. He is a member of the board of Estonian Cooperative Bank. Before the current position he worked as a chief finance officer at an Estonian dairy company E-Piim.

 

 

Dmitri Lauš, Board Member of Admiral Markets AS
Dmitri Lauš is a 13-year veteran of the Forex Industry, where he has leveraged technology, entrepreneurial management expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the evolving needs of clients, to grow companies into successful global enterprises. He has joined Admiral Markets as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer in 2003 and quickly led the firm on its rise into one of the fastest-growing companies in Forex industry worldwide.

Aare Tammemäe, Enn Listra, Dmitri Lauš, Kaarel Ots, Kaido Kaljulaid, Kaido Saar, Kristjan Lepik, Lehar Kütt, Peeter Saks, Priit Põldoja, Raino Paron, Ranno Tingas, Rauno Klettenberg, Reimo Hammerberg, and Taavi Aas.
