DESCRIPTION:Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) of the European Commission is organising country visits to all Member States in the context of further work on Capital Markets Union (CMU). The CMU initiative aims to create a truly integrated market for capital across the EU. While significant progress has been made in developing and integrating the EU financial sector and capital markets, the CMU continues to have unrealised potential. Therefore, further developing and integrating EU capital markets to enhance citizens’ access to investment opportunities and companies’ access to finance must remain among the highest political priorities in the coming years. The objective of these visits is to establish a bilateral dialogue with relevant stakeholders to better understand the key issues for Estonia concerning capital markets integration.
