FinanceEstonia and UK Trade & Investment organised an event designed to discuss what’s been done and what’s possible in disruptive Financial Technology (FinTech), to showcase innovative products, services and business models, and to look ahead to the future.
There were insider presentations and expert panel discussions both on consumer needs and on industry developments in the FinTech sector, with the aim to align what customers want with what can be provided both by industry newcomers and by evolution in the financial service sector as a whole.
Roger Gifford, the Lord Mayor of London, opened the conference, and the presenters were top level industry visionaries and disruptors from both Estonia and the UK. The inspiration for this event came from Roger Gifford’s visit to Estonia in April 2013, where he was impressed strongly by the innovation being delivered by Estonian FinTech companies.
The Conference was divided into three discussion panels on Financial IT market:
Event was targeted at financial industry senior level decision makers, who want to:
– Gain insight to the latest consumer trends in financial IT sector;
– Positively disrupt their business with the best FinTech talents from Estonia;
– Find new and exciting business partners in the UK and Estonia;
– Know why Estonia is famous for E-services.
