Gala Dinner

The FinanceEstonia International Forum 2014 Gala Dinner took place at the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn. This venue carried on the tradition of great Estonian landmarks hosting the Gala Dinner.

The Song Festival Grounds are the birthplace of the famous singing revolution which started in the late 1980’s, when up to 300 000 persons congregated, demonstrated and sand for Estonian independence. It is also home of the Song Festivals which are held every 5 years and that have helped maintain the culture of this small nation. A cultural icon, the Song Festival Grounds are the largest concert arena in Estonia today and one of the most original venues in the whole World.

High spot of the Gala Dinner was mr. President Toomas Hendrik Ilves speech about the sense of responsibility in the financial crisis and defense of  morals of liberal democracy in todays political crisis in the world. Mr. President also gave an insight in Estonian openness in digitalisation and possibilities to our economy respectively.

VP rääkis vastustunde olulisusest finantskriisis, liberaalse demokraatia põhiväärtuste kaitsest tänases poliitilises kriisis, Eesti digitaliseerimisest ja avatusest.

During the Gala Dinner featured  musical surprises  that helped the audience grasp this sense of history. Delicious dishes prepared using Estonian ingredients and excellent company assured that the Gala Dinner provided  useful and interesting networking opportunities.

During the Gala Dinner there took place the Award Ceremony of Corporate Finance Olympiad organised by  PwC, Swebank and Tallinn University of Technology. Please read more about the Olympiad here.
